(hook)The
Nature Aisle of the Caribbean, Dominica, has 61.3% of its island covered with
forest or about 46,000 hectares. This makes the island classified as primary
forest which is the most biodiverse form of forest. The island has great soil
and receives enough rainfall a year to support the cash crops they have
growing.(bridge) Dominica uses this to its
advantage, as their one of their main sources of income comes from their
agriculture and the selling and trading of natural resources. With the island
being so forested and naturistic, it optimizes in opportunity for such
beautiful sights all around the island. Thus, causing the countries tourism in
recent years to increase and become the islands biggest source of currency.(thesis) Whether it’s the sell and trade side of agriculture in Dominica or the
luxurious nature that brings in tourism, Dominica best benefits economically
from the natural resources the island provides.
