Dominica is a island located in between the North Atlantic Ocean and the Caribbean Sea. This luxurious island is famously known as " The Nature Island of the Caribbean" due to the beautiful natural aspects it provides.The island consist of wide range of mountains and rain forest. Dominica also has the second largest thermally active lake in the world called Boiling Lake. Dominica was colonized by the Europeans and it was the last island in the Caribbean to be colonized by them. The capital of Dominica is Roseau and the second largest city is Portsmouth. The type of government they have in Dominica is a Parliamentary Democracy but within the common wealth it is republic. The people do speak English and French patios there which could be classified further as creole. The population of the people in Dominica are mainly of African Descent, with few Europeans, Indians and Caribs. The majority of the population is Roman Catholic. Dominica, also known as "Commonwealth of Dominica", is a small island in the Caribbean located in the west indies. It is accumulated with Windward  Islands in the Caribbean Sea. It has big mountains, hot springs, and tropical rain forest filled with wildlife. Dominica has been nicknamed the "Nature Isle of the Caribbean" due to its beautiful nature. The capital of Dominica is Roseau, which contains a variety of timber houses and botanic gardens. Currently the population of Dominica is 73,925 people. A majority of the people that live here are Roman Catholic. Dominica is one of the few Caribbean islands to be republic. In Dominica they speak English but their vernacular language is Dominican Creole French. The music they like listening to comes in many styles and genres. I am Nicholas Phipps and I am currently in my first year of college and in my second semester. I graduated from Mountain View high school in Lawrenceville where I liked to play both football and basketball.I was born in Dekalb County but I moved to Gwinnett when I was four. I live with my older brother and both of my parents. My dad is from Jamaica and my mom is from Indiana. I like to listen to all types of music. I am interested to find out about all the types of new music out there in the Caribbean. I also am into fashion and clothes so seeing how other places of the world dress will be exciting to find out about. I like to make people laugh and bring smiles to people faces. I guess that is all there really is to say about me.
